Call for Expression of Interest - Library Internship

Library Internship Announcement

The African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) is an organ of the African Union charged with the responsibility of promoting and protecting human rights in Africa.

To achieve the above objective, we are seeking an Intern to serve in our library.

Job Description

·         Assist in cleaning up online library catalogue entries, input new ones, including cover pages;

·         Assist in tasks related to documents infrastructure and migration process from manual to an online catalogue;

·         Assist in re-shelving books that were de-shelved due to the recent activity of achieving an online catalogue;

·         Assist library users.


·         A Certificate, Diploma, or Higher Diploma in Information Management, Library Science, and / or IT, Records Management from a recognized institution.

·         Be computer literate


The Intern will have access to the following facilities:-

i)              Office space;

ii)             A computer with internet access, a printer, and office stationery;

iii)            A telephone line.
