Commissioner Mohamed Fayek made a brief presentation on the relationship between the ACHPR and NHRIs.
The National Human Rights Commission of Mauritania was accorded affiliate status with the Commission.
b. Cooperation between the ACHPR and NGOs
Commissioner Pansy Tlakula made a presentation on the relationship between the ACHPR and NGOs

The granting of observer status to Open Society Initiative of Southern Africa (OSISA) was deferred to the 48th Ordinary Session
Item 4 -The delegate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria requested and was granted, in an extraordinary procedure, the right to reply.

Commissioner Yuen made a brief presentation on the item.
b. Consideration of the Periodic Report of the Republic of Cameroon
The 3rd Periodic Report of the Republic of Cameroon was presented by the delegation of Cameroon and questions were asked by members of the Commission.

Commissioner Sylvie Zainabo Kayitesi presented an intersession report as Member of the Commission and Chairperson of the Working Group on the Death Penalty in Africa and as member of the Working Group on Specific Issues.
Commissioner Catherine Dupe Atoki presented an intersession report as a Member of the Commission, as the Chairperson of the Committee for the Prevention of Torture in Africa and as Special Rapporteur on Prisons and Conditions of Detention in Africa.
