In accordance with Articles 23.3 and 72 of the Rules of Procedure of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights and its resolution ACHPR/Res163 (XLVII) 2010, I present this report as Chairperson of the Committee of People Living with HIV/AIDS and persons at risk, vulnerable and affected by HIV/AIDS.
It highlights activities carried out from November 2010 to April 2011 according to this mandate, and they are presented in two parts, as follows:

11. From 17 to 18 January 2011, I participated in the orientation meeting of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and those at Risk, Vulnerable to and Affected by HIV which was held in Dakar, Senegal. This was the first meeting of all the expert members of the Committee together with the Commissioners
intended to map out the agenda for the Committee.
