Namibia: 1st Periodic Report, 1998-2000

The first part of this Report contains a general introduction on Namibia: population; general political structure; economic, social and cultural characteristics; and the general framework for the protection of human rights. The second part contains a description, Article by Article, of the state of implementation of the Charter.

The report was prepared by the office of the Chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Technical Committee on Human Rights, in the Ministry of Justice, and was submitted to NGOs for comments.
